Keira Knightley to take part in West End production
Actress Keira Knightley is set to return to the West End in a production of The Children's Hour, which is scheduled to open early next year.
The star will be joined by Elisabeth Moss, best known as Peggy Olson in the award-winning series Mad Men.
Knightley, last seen on stage in The Misanthrope at the Comedy Theatre, will play a teacher at a girls' boarding school in the new production.Her new film - Never Let Me Go - opened this year's London Film Festival.
Moss, who is set to make her West End debut, has also appeared in the movies Get Him to the Greek, Did you Hear About the Morgans? and Girl, Interrupted.
In the play, teachers - played by Knightley and Moss - are accused by a disgruntled student of having a lesbian relationship.
The Children's Hour was last produced in London by the National Theatre in 1994 and was written by Lillian Hellman in 1934.
Shriya’s wooing Chiranjeevi
Well, Shriya has an advantage here. She acted in the film ‘Tagore’ earlier which happened to be an out and out super hit. The other films of Chiranjeevi after ‘Tagore’ like Shankardada MBBS, Andarivadu, Shankardada Zindabad and Stalin ran just average. So Chiru has got soft corner for Shriya a lot.
And there is another grapevine that VV Vinayak is going to direct Chiru’s 150th film. If that happens, Shriya finds a cake walk into the project; because, VV Vinayak is ardent favorite of Shriya. Many say that Vinayak, with lot of perseverance brought Shriya into his second project ‘Chenna Kesava Reddy’ long back.
On a whole, if ‘Tagore’ team- Chiru, Shriya and Vinayak come together then the image of the project also will be very positive in the masses, say sources.
So, Shriya is tentatively confirmed in the project unless there aren’t any major changes.
Mahesh Babu's Extraaas Spoiling His Image
Apparently, Mahesh has been speaking about the ‘records’ of his recent release ‘Khaleja’ and has been claiming that the collections touched Rs 21 crores and he is very happy. And not sopping at that it is also being said that the collections are crossing rs 30 Cr. People know that the film dropped the pull of audience. In truth, the film barely managed to get to average and this bloated statistics is backfiring on Mahesh’s image.
As it is, the first week collections when they came up took the viewers and Mahesh fans by surprise but continuing the same trick will not work. Already, reports are arriving that ‘Khaleja’ is being removed from theatres in B and C centers so it is about time, well wishers of Mahesh suggest he should focus on his next project and let this one go.

“Kareena Kapoor‘s film Golmaal 3 and Aishwarya‘s Action Replayy will be released simultaneously due to which an intense competition has begun between both the beauties,” a report in the Urdu daily Jang said.
While Kareena stars opposite Ajay Devgan in Golmal 3, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been cast opposite Akshay Kumar in Action Replayy.
“Now it remains to be seen which of these two films wins over the audience’s heart and does more business in the first week after its release,” the report said.
Hrithik Roshan Kisses Katrina Kaif
Director Zoya Akhtar has a shot a two- minute steamy kissing scene, being touted as the longest lip lock in Bollywood so far, for her upcoming biggie Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara. Hrithik and Katrina are set to be casting opposite each other for the very first time in Zoya Akhtar’s film, though the two superstars have posed for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine in the past.
But director Zoya is reluctant to reveal details on the kiss. “I don’t want to discuss details because we are still shooting the film. All I can say is that whatever we have shot is integral to the plot. Everything has been filmed beautifully and the actors look great together on screen,” she says.
Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, Zoya’s second film after Luck By Chance, also stars her brother Farhan Akhtar along with Dev D duo Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.
A large portion of the film has been shot in Spain where the unit drew the flak of animal activists when the three male actors shot a bull- running sequence.
According to reports, Katrina Kaif is also said to have done some daredevil bike stunts in the film.
Hrithik & Katrina set for one hell of a long kiss While this will be Katrina’s maiden on-screen kiss, Hrithik has mastered the smooching art.
He shared his first onscreen kiss with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 2006 blockbuster Dhoom 2 and smooched Mexican beauty Barbara Mori in his dud home production Kites earlier this year.
If Hrithik and Aishwarya were quite uncomfortable while doing the kissing scene for Dhoom 2, Katrina‘s condition was no different when she was informed about the kissing scene by the director.
Says a source close to Katrina: “Initially, she was hesitant to doing the kissing scene with Hrithik. She wasn’t very enthusiastic about the idea. However, the director managed to convince her in the end.” Sources on the set of the film claim that despite her initial reluctance Katrina seemed quite comfortable kissing Hrithik when the scene was shot. The actress was very professional and co- operative all along, they add.
The kissing sequence happens at an important moment in the film where Hrithik Roshan‘s character looks into the eyes of the heroine and bids her goodbye without saying a word.
It is only then that the girl realises how much she loves him and runs up to him to seal her affection with a lip lock. So far, the longest kiss on- screen was shared by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani. It lasted for about a minute.
Whether Katrina manages to strike chemistry with Hrithik in Zoya’s film remains to be seen. One thing is sure, though – they will set a new record for Hindi films when it comes to puckering up.
Kat Von D Wants Jesse James’ Scenes Cut
Kat Von D, the star of L.A. Ink wants all of her previously shot scenes with her ex-boyfriend, Jesse James cut out of her show. Most people know that Kat was James’ rebound chick after he and Sandra Bullock broke up.
Well, when he and Kat were dating, he appeared on her show. Now that the footage is soon to be airing, she wants all of the scenes with him in it nixed.Why you ask? Because they have since broken up and she has gotten back with her ex-boyfriend, rocker Nikki Sixx.
The producers of L.A. Ink are scrambling around trying to make it happen but are finding it difficult. They may have to pile on the commercials in order to make the show long enough. This makes things rather boring for fans, it also may affect ratings.Fans of the show would probably be interested in seeing the footage with her and Jesse. What ultimately will happen, those who watch the show will have to wait and see. I’ve watched a few episodes and its okay and all but I probably won’t tune in again, unless maybe Jesse shows up. It would be quite interesting, though I’m not a fan of his. In fact, I’m Team Sandy all the way!!!
Lohan Back to Rehab: No Jail Time
Lindsay Lohan has been ordered to return to rehab. She will not be sent back to jail time at least for now. She dodged a bullet to say the least.
The L.A. County probation department wanted her to do jail time for violating her probation, to the tune of at least 30 days for testing positive for cocaine and an amphetamine use. They did not have a final say on her sentence but they were allowed to make a recommendation to the judge.
It appears that the judge wasn’t swayed by their expert opinion. Instead, he ordered her back to Betty Ford until January.
Lohan’s next court date is scheduled for February 25th. She won’t have to wear her SCRAM bracelet from today forward, but she will have to undergo drug testing after she is released from rehab. Ahhh…Celebrity justice at its finest!!!

Now this is some news!!! Katrina Kaif, was apparently the first choice as the lead actress in Salman’s Dabangg. And, the best part is, Kat was recommended by none other than Salman himself.
Okay!! this is not the end…
Salman Khan’s future film Bodyguard that has now gone to Kareena Kapoor, was also drafted out for Katrina. Again, on Salman’s recommendation.
Katrina, who cleverly declined from confirming this information, said, “It is unfair to talk about a professional offer because someone else is finalised for it.” However, she added, “Salman and I had a disaster in our last romantic film Yuvraaj. We had mutually decided then that when we do our next film, it has to be something different. Not a routine love story.”
Talking about her current relationship with Salman, Kats said,“Salman and I talk or message each other at least once a day. He is my 4 am friend. When I was hospitalised, Salman was very much around. If I’m missing for something important that Salman has organised, there has to be a solid reason for it. Like at this blood donation drive he organised in Mumbai when I had been diagonised with a blood condition myself and advised against giving blood.
When he had the Being Human show at fashion week, I flew in for a day from Chandigarh. Likewise, I know that if there is a script that both of us feel suits us the best, we will do the film without an issue.”
Outside of this friendship, neither Kat nor Salman wish to go on record about the status of their relationship.
Deepika the main lead in Race 2
2011 is Deepika Padukone’s year. She is fast leaving the other Bollywood beauties behind in the race for superstardom.Ramesh Taurani producer of Race 2 has confirmed that Deepika will be in the main lead opposite Saif in Race 2. Guess Priyanka Chopra has lost out on this one too.
Now there is scope for PC to try and get back into this film if she wants because there’s a role for a second girl. However Sonakshi Sinha is also waiting in queue. So we’ll see kya hota hai.

Martin Freeman confirmed as Baggins in The Hobbit
It has been confirmed that Martin Freeman will star in The Hobbit. The annoucement was made by director Peter Jackson "there had only ever been one Bilbo Baggins for us" and he went on to say how ´incredibly proud´ he was of annoucing Freeman´s part in The Hobbit.
"There are a few times in your career when you come across an actor who you know was born to play a role, but that was the case as soon as I met Martin," Jackson said.
Spooks actor Richard Armitage, 39 - who is scheduled to star in the upcoming film Captain America: The First Avenger - will play Thorin Oakenshield - leader of the dwarves. Other dwarves will be played by John Callen, Stephen Hunter, Mark Hadlow and Peter Hambleton.
In other developments it has been revealed that the location for filming may have to be moved from New Zealand, possibly to the UK. According to Jackson´s wife they "had people in the UK taking location photographs".
The two films which will make up The Hobbit will be released in December 2012 and December 2013.

Russell Brand marries Katy Perry in India
Comedian Russell Brand has married US singer Katy Perry in a ceremony at the Aman-e-Khas resort.
Brand and Perry first met at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009 and just 3 months later Brand proposed outside the Taj Mahal.
Only close family and friends were allowed to attend the event which was surrounded by heavy security and press were not allowed to enter. According to The Press Trust of India the wedding procession comprised of 21 camels, elephants and horses as well as dancers and musicians.
Perry called for privacy on her twitter "Greatest gift you can give us is respect and love during this private time. No use wasting our time with STOLEN or FALSE info. Thank you for this."
Brand has enjoyed a higher profile since he embarked on a Hollywood acting career staring in the 2007 St Trinian's film and Judd Apatow's comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Perry released I Kissed A Girl in 2008 which quickly became her biggest hit and her most recent album is Teenage Dream.
